Regional healthcare platform development

Your region's challenges.
A platform built towards them.

We take the primitives of the Product Trust Platform — identity, governance, verified product data, supply intelligence — and work with your national and regional institutions to build a regionally focused platform: tailored to your challenges, in your languages, federated with the global network.

Why this matters

Serialisation solved compliance. It didn't solve trust.

The systems a health authority inherits prove a medicine is authentic at the warehouse door. They say nothing about whether a person can understand, trust, and act on the information in front of them — in their language, in their health system.

01

Information no one can read

Leaflets arrive as PDFs, often in the wrong language. The person holding the medicine can't act on what's printed — and literacy gaps widen the distance between a label and a decision.

02

Truth scattered across systems

Product information, supply records, and patient touchpoints sit in disconnected silos. A health system has no single source it can trust to answer a simple question about a medicine.

03

The usual fix deepens the dependency

A generic app, or a vendor that extracts your data to run it, leaves your institutions no more sovereign than before — and tied to a roadmap written somewhere else.

The model

One trust fabric.
Many regional platforms.

The answer isn't another silo, and it isn't a vendor who owns the result. Regional platforms are built from the same primitives that already run in production globally — owned in your context, governed by your institutions, and connected to a proven foundation without ever depending on it.

Proven primitives

Built from the same platform components that have run in production globally since 2022.

  • Production-grade, not a prototype
  • ePI, supply, engagement
  • Blockchain-verified integrity
03

Connected, not captured

Built on the same foundation that already runs in production globally — connected on your terms, never dependent on it.

  • Build on what already works
  • Connected on your terms
  • Sovereign by design

How we work

You define the outcomes. We build towards them.

Our expertise is technology development and the platform itself. Yours is your region. An engagement is structured so each side contributes what only it can — and it starts and ends with you.

You lead the whatWe lead the how
Step 01You

You name the challenges

You understand your local challenges. We start by working with your institutions to define them — not by arriving with a product to install.

Step 02Together

We co-design the platform

Together we shape a regional architecture from the trust fabric's primitives: your data residency, your governance, your languages and language sets.

Step 03We

We build towards your outcomes

Our engineering teams build the regional platform and local applications with your teams — measured against the outcomes you defined, not feature checklists.

Step 04You

You operate, federated

The platform runs in your region under your governance — connected to the broader network without surrendering control of it.

What it looks like

One scan, in your patient's language.

Outcomes are defined with you, not for you. But the shape is consistent: verified information, made usable, in the moment it matters.

A patient journey

From a pack on the counter to a decision they can trust.

  1. They scan the pack — the current, regulator-aligned leaflet opens in their language, as readable guidance rather than a PDF.
  2. They ask a question in their own words; the answer is grounded in verified, governed product data — not marketing copy.
  3. If they consent, their care team can follow up — every interaction auditable and governed by your institutions.

Medical literacy in local languages

Regulator-aligned product information becomes readable guidance in the languages your population actually speaks — built on structured ePI, not static documents.

Access to verified medical information

A single trusted source for medicines information in your health system, drawing on the same verified product data the global network runs on.

Answers through natural-language interaction

Patients and clinicians ask questions in their own words and get answers grounded in verified, governed product information — designed to withstand regulatory scrutiny.

Local apps for local health systems

Applications in your language sets, shaped around your care pathways and institutions — running on infrastructure your region controls.

Why us

Why an Association, not a vendor.

This isn't a positioning choice — it's our legal structure. The PharmaLedger Association is a Swiss not-for-profit, and that changes what can happen to your data and your platform.

The usual vendor

A product you depend on

  • Holds your data to run the service
  • Roadmap set by shareholders
  • Pricing ratchets toward what the market will bear
  • Lock-in is the business model
  • You are a customer of their product
The PharmaLedger Association

Infrastructure you own a piece of

  • Your data stays in your region, under your governance
  • Direction set by the industry it serves
  • Fees fund the work, not investor returns
  • Open standards — no proprietary lock-in
  • You own and operate your regional platform
Who we build with

National and regional institutions only.

We build regional platforms only with the institutions that carry responsibility for their health systems — and on a foundation the industry already trusts.

Built by a 29-partner research programme · 12 founding pharmaceutical companies

The platform grew out of the 2019–2022 PharmaLedger research programme — a €22M EU Innovative Medicines Initiative investment — and has run in production since 2022. The European Medicines Agency works with the Association as a frontend partner for electronic product information. About the Association →

Questions

What institutions ask first.

Do we have to become a member of the Association?

No. You can engage purely as a customer — membership is optional and exists for organisations that want to help shape the standard and its governance, not to gate access to the platform.

Where does our data live?

In your region, under your governance and data residency. Federation shares verified signals across regions, not raw data, and the Association never monetises customer or member data.

Is this a product we buy off the shelf?

No. A regional platform is a co-development engagement. You define the outcomes that matter in your context; we build towards them from primitives that already run in production.

What does it cost to run?

Fees fund the operation of the platform — not investor returns. As a not-for-profit there is no pressure to ratchet pricing, and no data extraction or usage surprises.

How mature is the technology?

The platform primitives have run in production globally since 2022, and the European Medicines Agency works with the Association as a frontend partner for electronic product information.

Who do you build these with?

Only national and regional institutions that carry responsibility for their health systems — because you are the ones who understand your local challenges.
